RASHTRAWAD – The National Youth Parliament Competition by Legal Aid Committee, Graphic Era Hill University

Details of the Event

Youth Parliament in essence is a simulation of a Parliamentary session wherein the participants understand the parliamentary procedure and develop an insight into the workings of the Parliament. It is a platform to discuss national issues on a large scale in a proper forum and in front of experienced moderators. It brings youngsters on the same platform and offers them the opportunity to stimulate discussion and come up with possible solutions. LAC, GEHU is organizing RASHTRAWADcomprising two major committees that are Lok Sabha and All In major committees that are Lok Sabha and All India Political Party Meet.

Location– Graphic era hill University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, 248002.

The objective of the event

• It supports the concept of assembling, arguing, and assessing.
• It furthers Democracy and growth and the sustenance of democratic institutions through deliberation and simulations.
• It provides an upright platform for acquiring or improving upon many skills such as public speaking, debate, presentation, research, and organizational skills,to the participants and thus aids their personal development.

Eligibility

It is open to all students enrolled in bonafide on a regular basis in an undergraduate or postgraduate course or equivalent conducted by any institution.

Prizes

• Prize pool upto ₹48000 /-
• ₹24000/- for each committee.

Important Dates

• The deadline for registration is 11:59 pm, 1st May, 2024.
• Date of Competition: 10th & 11th May, 2024.

Fee

• REGISTRATION FEE FOR GEHU & GEU STUDENTS – ₹ 699 /-
• REGISTRATION FEE FOR OTHERS- ₹ 1199/-
• WITH ACCOMODATION – ₹ 2999/-
• INR 100/- OFF PER APPLICATION FOR MINIMUM 15 DELIGATION FROM AN INSTITUTION.
